White Chocolate Cranberry Scones Recipe

Looking for a great treat for an upcoming event or tea party? Maybe you just have a taste for slightly sweet pastry that pairs beautifully with coffee and tea. The scone is a wonderful choice. White chocolate and cranberries are some of my ultimate add to mix ingredients and I hope you’ll agree after trying the recipe below.

White Chocolate Cranberry Scones

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 squares of Baker’s White Chocolate roughly chopped
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450C.
  2. Place dried cranberries in a bowl and cover with hot water. Set aside.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and 1 tsp sugar.
  4. Dry cranberries and stir into mixture.
  5. Mix in chopped white chocolate.
  6. Add cream and stir until the mixture just comes together.
  7. Knead the dough a few times.
  8. Pat the dough into a flat round about one inch thick and cut into eight wedges. Sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Place wedges on a baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.

  31. Yum! I’ve only had scones at a local bakery, but they were not the traditional English kind. These look delicious with the white chocolate and cranberries!
