The Beauty in Birthstones #Infographic

I have never been much of a jewelry person. In fact I own not nearly as many pieces as the average middle age women and wear them even less often that most. However Birthstones pieces are one of the few and far between items that catch my eye. It can be an amazing amethyst ring that stand bold at appearance or a dainty collection for stones to represent those whom are closest to my heart. Either way birthstones offer a unique, personalized feel that most anyone can enjoy.

I really don’t wear much jewelry either but my birthstone is a diamond and my husband bought me a pair of diamond studs when we started dating 11 years ago.. i wear them almost daily. I actually wear them so often that I forget they’re there sometimes! lol I also agree that birthstone jewelry catches my eye too :) Thanks for sharing.. it was fun to look through and see my familys birthstones.

I simply adore jewelry and especially favor those with stones from the Earth. I believe they all radiate their own source of energy which could aid in healing and well being.

My birthstone is aquamarine and I love it! Pairs well with diamonds or pearls and matches most any outfit!! <3 it!

  17. I’ve never been big on birthstones either. Mine is Emerald & I despise it!

  18. It’s nice to know what everybodys gemstone means. Never new what they were. I have been toying with the idea of getting a Mothers ring. It will have 5 stones in it. It’s cool, they do fit the people I was reading their month.

  19. I am not a fan of jewelry either! I don’t wear any at all.. but I do have some amethyst (my birthstone) jewelry that were gifts, that I keep put away just in case!

  20. T.J. Wallace says:

I always thought the birthstone for June was a pearl. But alexandrite sounds nice too. It is fun to know the meanings.

  21. Love your info.

  22. My birthstone is opal, which I really love. However, it seems like many jewelry stores swap opal for a cheaper pink stone that I don’t like nearly as well.

  25. I’m not a big birthday person, but birthstone jewelry is special to me as well. I received a beautiful amethyst ring from my great grandmother for one of my birthdays as a teen and wore it almost every day for many years. I lost it during a move after college and have thought about it and been saddened by the loss for a good 2 decades. It was a beautiful but simple ring that was complimented often. This has given me a great birthday gift idea for my daughter who turns 18 in early February. I hope her ring will be as special to her as mine was to me.
