  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1/4 cup green onions
  • 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 80z cream cheese softened
  • 1 cups italian blend cheese
  • 2 80z cans of crescent rolls
  • 1 egg whipped (for egg wash)

Chicken cordon bleu pockets ingredientsDirections:

  1. In a medium sized mixing bowl stir together the chicken, ham, onions, garlic, parsley, cream cheese and italian cheese.

  3. Divide the chicken ham mixture in half, in the bowl.  Then divide each half into four parts. This will give you 8 portions (to put into your 8 rolls).
  4. Place the chicken and ham mixture on one side of the crescent roll.
  5. Take the other half of the dough and fold it over the top, use a fork to seal the edged and press the top and bottom of the dough together.
  6. In a small bowl whisk  egg with 1 tablespoon water, to create an egg wash.
  7. Use a kitchen brush to brush the egg wash onto the rolls.
  8. Bake at 375 degrees for 13-15 minutes or till golden brown.

  2. I’m sure they are much better for you too than hot pockets which are filled with additives and preservative and if I’m not mistaken they just had a recall on some flavor because of listeria or salmonella. So for better tasting, health and safety it’s better to make them yourself. Thanks for sharing, these look yummy.

  3. Sunnymay says:

This recipe is a cinch to make with the shortcut of Pillsbury or Great Value (WalMart) Crescent Rolls. Thanks for the recipe.

Hot pockets are easy and convenient. My grown daughter likes them and would like this. Kids in general would love that they could make and personalize their own.

  9. Jayne Townsley says:

Looks really good. We made cheesy hot dogs with crescent rolls last week and they were a big hit. An easy way to get the cooked chicken for this would be to buy one of those rotisserie chickens that are already cooked in the deli.

These look amazing! Better than the original chicken cordon bleu.

  14. These Pockets sure sound tasty. As well, they look a lot more appealing than a store-bought item of the same nature. I like that more than one person, such as children can participate in creating the cordon bleu pocket meals. I can tell there are more amounts of each ingredient in the homemade variety and more freshness also.

  15. I have never had chicken cooked this way before. I like the idea of a home made hot pocket.

  16. These look really good and way better than real hot pockets. I really want to try making these soon.

  17. This is company fare!!! Even if just for the “regulars” it will make anyone served this feel pampered and special. I won’t spill the beans that it isn’t that hard to make!!! It is has everything yummy in it I love, and look forward to making this, and serving it, and listening to all the oooh’s and ahhhh’s!!!

  18. Michelle Salais says:

What a great idea considering there was a recall a few months ago on Hotpockets. Thanks for the idea. I’m thinking that you could stuff anything you’d like into them. Make some pizza ones, sweet ones too.

this recipe looks so good and so easy to make, love all the fresh ingredients you added and the cheese.. i bet i could get the little ones involved in make some of these with me… thanks for share :) another great recipe :)

  48. These are delicious and super easy! I’m a starving student, so I’m definitely an expert on easy and delicious.

Also, one thing that might help people making this recipe is that Pillsbury sells their croissant dough in whole sheets, not sliced up into triangles. It’s in the same section as the other canned baking stuff, and it made it a lot easier; I didn’t have to press the triangles together, I just cut the sheet into eight rectangles.

  49. thanks for sharing. i love these but sometimes hate buying them frozen….not fresh take on it!
