Shortly after Elliot turned one we decided to make the move to a toddler bed. Despite my second thoughts he proved to be ready after a two-week see how works out period. So with the toddler style bed, he need different bedding to not only brighten his brand new room but also fit properly.
After a few hours of interest searching, I knew exactly what design would fit his little personality thus the Dr. Seuss room was born. Starting with the Trend Lab Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat Toddler Bedding Set we transformed his space from baby to functional toddler in minutes (of course all the bedding was washed prior to use).

To my surprise the bottom of even the flat sheet and quilt were rounded to tuck securely at the bottom of the crib mattress. This tuck provides a cleaner look and also seems to keep the covers on the bed where they belong 9 times out of 10.
The white sheets and pillowcase with black, grey and red Dr Seuss design is out this world. I would very tempted to search for fabric to make myself a set just like them. Both are soft and comfortable to the touch. I have spent a nap time or two on them and know from experience.
The quilt is light weight and well made. It is artsy the way they fashioned the sheet pattern in with minky to create a matching look. Plus the addition of the embroidered Dr Seuss head toward the bottom guess it a fancy feel and makes me feel like they put more effort into keeping it stylish as well as versatile.
Trend Lab offers several pieces in Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat collection. The photo above is of their crib set but it also shows the additional wants on our list to complete his room: chair and ottoman, lamp, hamper and even the clock. I hope to find these before the end of August and will update the final transformation soon!
