I absolutely love getting my kids in the kitchen to help me cook. Not only is it rewarding to spend time with them; they also tend to be very proud of their creations. Now this means that they are also more open to trying new foods and more healthy options in their everyday meals.

Blocks line every side of this mat and in each block is a picture of a food with both the English and Spanish word for that food! My children will point to different ones each time this is out and quiz mom on what does this say. Occasionally we are stumped and consult google for the correct pronunciation. So for this one mom is learning too.

I like the idea of the blocks that show the food in English and Spanish. I wish we had these tools for my kids when little.
